Clinical massage is an active form of massage where the client and therapist work together. The therapist massages muscles, but also takes the client through assisted stretches and exercises that help release muscles, break up scar tissue or relieve inflammation. It is not uncommon for clients to go home with homework stretches and exercises that will help realign muscles and maximize the effect of the massage sessions.
